Practice, Practise

Secret Agent Man had drum practice today.  For the past few weeks he has been laughing at something his drum teacher wrote in his book.

Special Agent Dad had taken him to practice when he came home with this

I'm not sure what happened that resulted in this being written.  He practices very regularly.  You never know when those two head out somewhere what is going to happen.

Either way, Secret Agent Man has been laughing at how his teacher had written practice with two different spellings.  I mean he literally laughs out loud when he see's those two words written on the page.

Fast Forward to today.  His teacher gets on his set of drums which is right next to Secret Agent Man.  They play in tandem to music.  Secret Agent Man asks what beat exactly they are doing.  His teacher explains it but, Secret Agent Man likes to read it as he plays and so asks him to write it down.

His teacher opens the book to that page.

Practice.  Practise.

Secret Agent Man starts laughing.

I hold my breath in anticipation of what he is going to say.

He turns to his teacher and says "Practice or Practise (which he pronounces pract ICE)?  I'm a fan of Practise."

You could insert a bad joke drumroll here.

Except you can't.  Because it was funny.

He was making fun of his teachers spelling.  To his face.

Luckily his teacher is a real laid back guy and just laughed.  He laughs at Secret Agent Man a lot.  In fact he said he is the joy of the week.  He love working with him because he is always laughing and always surprises him with how well he does at practice.
