Pool Workout

We head to the pool a few times a week after dinner in the evening.  The pool we go to has a heated deeper side and then a cold pool with zero depth entry and all of the fun kid stuff like fountains and water spraying everywhere.

Secret Agent Man has been busy at swim lessons and he has been progressing pretty fast!  He just got promoted to level 6.  He had to do a streamline entry into the pool and do 5 freestyle arm strokes with kicks to pass level 5.

The swim school is called Nitro and they really are the best.  Their swim lessons are very effective (believe me, I've seen about 20 methods), and they are just really the best in the business.  They have a huge USSA swim team and sent about a dozen to Junior Olympics this year!

So, once we get to the pool in the evening, Secret Agent Man does a little practice of whatever level he is on and then he and Special Agent Dad hit the fun pool.

His favorite activity?

Pulling Special Agent Dad through the water by his feet.  There is a frog shaped circular sprinkler thing that squirts water and he loves to pull him through there.

Tonight he was excitedly exclaiming "Who could believe a 6 year old was strong enough to pull a dad through the water!  How Strong Am I!!  I can't believe I am controlling you this long."

They seriously do this for 30 to 45 minutes while I get warm under some towels and read a book on the kindle.

We get home and Secret Agent Man has a big snack and then hits the bed.  He has no problem falling asleep after pulling dad through the water all night.
