Science Storms

We have been getting a ton of rain lately.  Quite uncharacteristic from what we understand.  Nice break from watering the lawn though!  The storms have been rolling in during the afternoon and letting down a couple of inches.

The morning may start this way........

But come the afternoon, it looks like this for a few hours

So, Secret Agent Man and I have been finding fun stuff to do indoors.  We brought out this Science kit that he got as a gift.  We finished about half of the experiments before the move and decided to do a few more.

The kit comes with fun stuff like Red Cabbage Juice Powder, citric acid, baking soda, corn starch, vegetable oil and other really safe stuff to play with.

This was a color changing volcano experiment.

This was an underwater volcano experiment.  The oil acted as the "water" and the explosion happened underneath then had to push the water up to roll over!

Volcano's inside and thunder and lightning outside.

Secret Agent Man thought it was very funny that these grasses in the planter were drowning under a puddle.  He kept watching it and laughing.

Let's Talk!  What are some fun rainy day/bad weather activities that you like to do?
